Embraced with Love

The holidays are upon us and that means gathering and traveling, unfortunately the end results can mean being under the weather. And who doesn’t like a little pick me up knowing someone is thinking of them when you don’t feel good?

The Embraced with Love Stamp Set (Last Chance 164246) gives you get well options and more. And these little animals are adorable too. Check out this lovely card using a quick and easy stripping technique for the background.

While the image was colored with our Stampin’ Blends and cut out using our Stylish Shapes Dies (159183) the background technique adds bold color and pulls out the colors Peach Pie, Azure Afternoon, and Cajun Craze that were used for the bear and blanket.

How was the background made? Everyone has those 1/2 inch strips laying around, right? simply draw a line across the card front at an angle starting at the top left down to the bottom right. Add your first strip along this line for a starting point then add the next strip and so on until top section is filled. Trim ends to line up with the card front. Next, line up the ends of the strips along this line for the bottom section, adhere and trim with the edge of the card front. Yep, that simple! and what an impact.

A few of our Earth Tones Shimmer Gems (164070) add a bit of texture and shine to the card.

Shepherd’s Care

The Shepherd’s Care stamp set (164300) is a beautiful stamp set that has some wonderful sentiments included.

It’s easy to use for simple monochromatic cards since it has built in shading or adding color. Take a look at this first card that is stamped in Crumb Cake Classic Ink and uses just a bit of Lost Lagoon to add color to the shepherd.

Or this next card that chooses to add color to the full image.

The star and sky has been stamped using our White Craft Ink (147277) and uses a few Basic Rhinestones Jewels (144220) to add some shine along with our Brushed Gold & Silver Specialty Paper (Online Exclusive 164861) is used as a mat behind the shepherd.

And now how about some fun folds? These next two cards use the sentiment as the focal point on the card front. This first card uses our Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusive 164324) and Stylish Shapes Dies (159183) to create this fun window.

open the card and you have a second fold and the bit of Designer Series Paper you used from the front square you cut.

And for the final card today the sentiment has been layered on our Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusive 164142) a piece of Basic White gives contrast to the Pretty Peacock card base.

A bit of our Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon (162588) has been used for the bow and a few Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems (162587) ties it all together. Open the card for a lovely surprise scene.

Simple stamping has been used along with some fussy cutting for the shepherd. And a simple slit and scoring creates the pop out to hold the image. The star shines with another bit of gold found in our accessory, Blooming Pearls (162238).

Wow, right? This set is a classic that you’ll be reaching for over and over again in your holiday project.

On a personal note I have family here for Thanksgiving week and won’t be sharing the rest of the week, but will be back next week. I hope everyone will enjoy their Thanksgiving.

Artful Amaryllis

Are there certain things you think of when you think of the holidays? For me it is poinsettias and Amaryllis, traditional gifts when going to someone’s home for a gathering. I used to receive an Amaryllis from my boss each Christmas when I was young and enjoyed watching it grow and bloom over the weeks.

The Artful Amaryllis Bundle (164082) includes a lovely two step image along with all occasion sentiments.

This first card uses simple stamping to create a lovely friendship card. And our Faceted Gems Trio Pack (162148) add a bit of shine. This next card steps it up a bit to create a holiday card.

It uses our images this time that have been colored with our Stampin’ Blends and then cut out with the dies. Mounted onto a back drop of Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper (164333) with a bit of gold shine added using the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4″ Satin Ribbon (164028) and Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems (163780). Do you recognized the die cut sentiment? It is from our Peaceful Season Bundle (164021).

And finally this fun fold card that uses our rich Cherry Cobbler classic Ink and the Spotlight on Nature Dies (163580), Timber 3d Embossing Folder (156406) to add texture and highlight the Amaryllis.

A bit of gold shine has been added with our popular Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper (164144) and Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments (164223).

Sparkling Snowflakes

Quick and simple cards are a great thing when stamping holiday cards for family and friends, so I love cards like this one today. And like snowflakes no two are alike.

This card uses the lovely the Sparkling Snowflakes stamp set (162158) and our Gorgeous Grape, Petunia Pop, and Pretty in Pink Classic Ink Pads to create the winter scene. A bit of our Petunia Pop 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (163785) adds some texture and our beautiful Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments (164223) add the sparkle! If you haven’t seen these embellishments in person you’ll want to. The faceting is simply wonderful and they come in two sizes and colors!

Yuletide Village

The landscape of winter – that is what filled the Yuletide Village stamp set (164310).

This set allows you to create wonderful landscapes that remind you of the holidays. Team it up with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (162026) and you’ve got endless options.

Check out these cards made with this stamp set.

This first card uses the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (162026) to create some texture as back drop for this simply stamped image. A bit of coloring with our Stampin’ Blends and a swish of Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897) adds a bit of sparkle to the card. Quick and easy, making it a great card to make a number of quickly for your holiday needs.

And finally this bold Blackberry Bliss church scene.

This card uses our Small Blending Brushes (160518/153611) to create a striking backdrop for the church using Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pads. The church itself has been stamped, colored with our Watercolor Pencils (161700/149014) and then fussy cut. A quick bit of the Blackberry Bliss & Gold 1/2″ Textured Ribbon (164039) has been tied at the bottom to add a bit of shine.

Winterly Tree Tops

Love birds and nature scenes? I love to watch the bird feeder during the winter and the variety of birds that come to enjoy the food I put out for them. Sunflower seeds, suet, the choices in bird food have really grown since I started to do this at our home. I’ve even grown some sunflowers to share. Birds are always entertaining to watch. So when I saw the Nests of Winter Suite (164072) I couldn’t resist.

Today I’m going to share some cards with you that I received in my swap highlighting this Suite. This first card uses the die to frame the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper (164183). Our Stampin’ Blends were used to give the images a bold pop of color and the Happy Labels Pick a Punch (160693) was used to create the tag for the greeting and add a bit more texture to the card front.

And how about this next card that uses the rich Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusive 164142) and our Metallic Enamel Effects Basics (161610) to give it a rich look.

A bit of our black powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (165679) and heat from our Heat Tool (129053) give has been used on the sentiment to make it shine against the Real Red Card front.

The birds in this set can be colored in different ways to show off your favorite birds and the Designer Series Paper can be cut out with the Winterly Tree Top Dies (164065) which is always fun for easy cards that don’t require any coloring!

Splendid Autumn

The colors are turning and we’ve pretty much reached our peak here in North Georgia, although there have been days lately you wouldn’t know it was leaf watching season due to the temperatures.

Today’s card highlights all those beautiful colors and landscapes. And if you love those kinds of Designer Series Paper images that make your projects quick and easy you’ll want to make sure to check out the Splendid Autumn 6×6 Designer Series Paper (164173) that make it so easy to create!

Caring Leaves

Looking for a lovely stamp set for fall that isn’t just for fall? Why not check out the Caring Leaves stamp set (164273)? This set has some lovely sentiments.

Today’s card uses this stamp set and the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper (164156) to kick off it’s color choice. I love the way these leaves have all the shading and texture built right into them. And since it is a two step stamp it is easy to use multiple colors to create a fall feel easily.

The Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive 164138) adds some wonderful texture to the Poppy Parade background layer. And did you know that this Hybrid comes with a set of dies that snap into the embossing folder and cut out the images too. So cool.

The all occasions sentiment is one of the two from the set and has been punched out using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch (Online Exclusive 119850) and a bit of our Wild Wheat Jute found in the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim (161637) has been tucked behind it.

Country Flowers

Do you love the colors and feel of the country? How about those flowers we find dotting the fields and in our yards? If so the Country Flowers Bundle (163411) mighty be something you’ll enjoy playing with for your next project.

The stool uses a fun little technique – a simple stamping on a piece of the wood paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper (163393) gives the stool a wood feel. And finally this last card uses the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (162189) to create background that has a lot of texture to it.

Under the Moon

It’s the lazy days of summer and I’m dreaming about the beach, how about you? I have always loved the water and watching the waves roll in. Lake Michigan was a great place to go in the summer as a teen as it was always cooler on the water. The Under the Moon stamp set (163531) makes me think of those lazy summer nights with my friends.

Check out these lovely cards using this stamp set. The first card uses some simple heat embossing with our Metallic Wow! Embossing Powders (165678) to create a back drop of stars.

The Layering Leaves stamp set (161277) has a perfect image for this and the Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon (162011) adds another pop of gold. Recognize the sentiment?
