Patterned Tags meets Merry Christmas

Do you enjoy dies that are great for all kinds of things and can be teamed up with other products you may already have? The Patterned Tags Dies (165910) is one of those die sets that are versatile.

This set of dies has a great sold die cut along with some fun strip pattern and 2 winter patterns. Use them as tags, or even create a fun treat item. Layer them for multiple color combinations and add your favorite images or sentiments to them. The options are endless.

Check out today’s fun card using this set of dies along with the single bold sentiment, Merry Christmas Stamp set (169233).

A bit of heat embossing using the Metallic Wow! Embossing Powders (165678) makes the sentiment pop on the Basic Black card stock. The tags have been die cut using the fun Strawberry Slush from the Flower Garden Foils Specialty Paper (Online Exclusive 165511) and the Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Green Card stock. The card stock uses a fun technique of adding packing tape to it before die cutting to give them a fun shine. And as a bonus the bough images that have been cut out of the tag can be used to decorate and embellish too! A great little trick, right?

So why not check out this fun die set that is found on page 57 in our September – December Mini Catalog?

Gingerbread Man

Run, Run as fast as you can…. Does this stamp set make you think of that childhood rhyme? Funny it made me think of it when I first saw the Gingerbread Man Bundle (165785)

And this cute little guy is great for those fun holiday projects with it’s option of creating gingerbread man shaped cards and gift tags, or even a treat item.

Today’s card both use this Bundle, this first card is simple stamping and die cutting.

The gingerbread man was cut out in Pecan Pie and stamped using our White Craft Ink (147277) and Memento Tuxedo Black (132708/133456). The sentiment is stamped in Real Red. These colors are pulled from the package of the Delightful Decorative Dots (165915) that embellish the gingerbread man.

This next card uses the classic colors Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler and steps it up with the white trim on the gingerbread man being heat embossed with our white embossing powder found in the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (165679).

A bit of the same craft white ink has been swiped across the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies (165912) to highlight the words in the background. And the front of the card opens

to show off a sentiment and allows you to sign. Want more space? instead of a embossed quarter sheet of card stock, you could add this little guy to a full card base and add an inside panel. Don’t you love the flexibility we have when we create to make it our own?

Snowy Delights

With this first snow of the season possible and cold winter temperatures that arrived it makes me think of our Snowy Delights Bundle (165809) of products.

This bundle is filled with 3 great products that work together to create wonderful winter projects.

Check out today’s cards using this bundle. Today’s first card uses just the Snowy Delights Stamp Set (165801) simple stamping to create a soft snow inspired card.

Stamped in Pool Party and accented in Misty Moonlight with pops of silver found in the Misty Moonlight & Silver Edged 1/2″ Ribbon (165931) and Rhinestones Basic Jewels (144220). A punch, Labeled with Love Punch (163569) that has been sponged on the edges makes the sentiment pop. Quick and easy!

And this next card steps it up while using the dies and simple sponging to add a fun negative image filled with lots of color.

Sponging has been added to the layer below with Lemon Lime Twist, Blueberry Bushel and Azure Afternoon.

The Azure Afternoon has also been used to stamp the snowflakes and used as the base for the card. Summer Splash pulls it all together with the sentiment and mat.

What do you think? Soft blues, or a fun pop of Lemon Lime Twist?

Festive Friends

Are you a Peanuts fan? I grew up watching the Charlie Brown Christmas special so it was the first thing that went through my mind when I saw this fun little line art tree in the Festive Friends Bundle (Online Exclusive 166039).

Along with this cute little tree there are 3 great images that are quick and easy to color. Check out today’s card made with this set.

I love this quick and easy card that highlights this tree and the fun little stand that has been created with a couple of pieces of our Country Woods Designer Series Paper (163393). Clever right? to add interest to the background a easy technique has been used to add the speckle in the background.

How is it done? Create a mask for your snowman and use a toothbrush dipped in a bit of Secret Sea reinker and run your finger across the bristles to fleck or flick the tooth brush to create this fine misty look. A bit messy, so remember to protect your work service, but a lot of fun!

A Delightful Decorative Dots (165915) was used as the tree topper, but you could also use those fun little Faceted Snowflakes (Online Exclusive 166077). Both are found in our Mini Catalog.
