No Matter the Weather Note Card Tutorial

March’s Paper Pumpkin kit had 2 stamp sets – the one that came with the kit and then a bonus set that coordinated with it. And it seemed like a wonderful kit for right now. I really enjoyed putting it together and creating with the sets themselves. So today I thought I’d share my alternate project with you that I created as a thank you card for those who subscribe to the kit.

I use the Note Cards & Envelopes for these cards since they are a great value and wonderful for newer stampers since you receive the card base and envelope for one low price.

I couldn’t resist these boots they are so cute – I’ve used the Rocco Rose Ink spot from last months kit for this next alternate that has the same basic layout but adds a layer of color for the background too.

Ornate Thanks Card Tutorial

Sorry I didn’t get this posted as planned late yesterday, but with the announcement yesterday afternoon from our Governor and our son’s birthday I was feeling overwhelmed and needed a bit of time to process. I’m sure that you can relate. This morning brought a lovely new sunrise and a bright new day and so I’m back to share.

So here we go –

Today’s project is one that I made for my April Thank You cards using the Ornate Garden Suite Early Release Bundle of products that just went live yesterday. Filled with beautiful colors and floral images this card allows the Specialty Designer Series Paper to shine.

This stamp set is filled with not only a wonderful selection of sentiments it uses a lovely font also. The coordinating dies have some lovely borders that I can’t wait to play with too.

I’ve whipped up a quick video for you and a PDF with supply list so you can create this project too while were home.

Today’s cards all use products found in the Peaceful Poppies suite (153938). Whether it is the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (151324), the Poppy Moments Dies (151594) or some of the Elements (151327) it’s a suite of products that will allow you to create with a wow factor.

It’s a Breathtaking Bouquet

This little background stamp (151612/152201) was one that I missed until a new friend at the table pointed it out to me – when I took a closer look at it I couldn’t believe I’d missed it.

I could see why she was excited since it looks great just as is, but when color is added to it. Wow!

Here are a few cards created with simple stamping using this bouquet of flowers. This first one is simply striking with it’s Pacific Point and Basic Gray combination and it shimmers since the large rose has been colored with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897).

If you don’t recognize it the bit of texture on the bottom was added with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder (151474) and that sentiment has been punch out using the Label Me Lovely Punch (151296) and matted on vellum.

This next card is done in Lovely Lipstick – simple but striking

And this final card – the stamped image is Embossed with Black Embossing Powder on our Shimmer White Card stock. Matted in Grapefruit Grove and Basic Gray – a quick swish of the Aqua Painted to add the Grapefruit Grove around the focal point and your done!

The Shimmery White Card stock (101910) adds just the right amount of shimmer and is wonderful for water coloring since it is a bit heavier. If you haven’t given our Shimmer White Card stock you really should give it a try – you’ll love it!

Beautiful Moments

This stamp set is filled with beautiful sketched images, sentiments using a lovely font and is perfect for your favorite coloring technique.

Today I wanted to share this lovely card I received that uses our Stampin’ Blends to color these lovely images.

Done using the Calypso Coral, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. Texture was added with our Basket Weave and Texture 3D Embossing Folders. (Speaking of our wonderful 3D Embossing Folders – Did you know we have a special 3D Embossing Plate that you can use to make sandwich for embossing quick and easy when using your Big Shot or other Die machine? We also have replacement cutting plates available too.)

And here is another card I’ve shared with you earlier using this set. This time using bold Rich Razzleberry and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends inspired by the Poppies Designer Series Paper.

The options are endless since you can use the coloring method of your choice and each coloring tool you choose will give you a different feel which makes it a lot of fun to create with!

More Tropical Oasis

This Suite is one of my favorite in the Mini Catalog and here are some more cards made using the products from this suite for you today.

This first card is a fancy fold, called the 4 fold card.

When opened it’s like a little book – so much fun. Check out the beach chair from the Seasonal Layers Dies. Soooo cute!

And here is a fun card done with the In the Tropic Dies.

Can you see the texture on the pineapple? The Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper was used to cut out the die, giving it a lot of texture – so simple, but it packs a wow factor.

And this last card is perfect for a retirement, thank you, or special trip

Love the water or know someone who does? Then the By the Dock Bundle (153817) found in the Mini Catalog might be right up your alley since it is filled with some great images that will bring to life the lazy days of summer and time on the water.

The font used for the sentiments is lovely too and what a great option for the guys in our lives. I think it is great that this Mini Catalog has some wonderful masculine set choices for us.
