Today’s project is one that we did as last Weekend’s Peak Princess event. What is that you ask? This event is a special one for those on my team who qualify for it. It’s an afternoon of pampering – filled with games, prizes, and a special project and best of all time together.
Want to see some photos? This first one is of the class room, ready to go – the little skinny notepads that I shared with you yesterday are at everyone’s seats.
And of course there has to be some goodies, right?
One of the dishes I served was a delicious Black Bean Salsa that Sara Douglas shared with us on her face book page, sorry I can’t find it again to link it for you. She gave approximate measurements since she doesn’t measure the chopped ingredients – so I’m giving you what I did below. You can tweak it to fit your tastes.
Black Bean Salsa
Sara Douglass, Stampin’ Up! CEO
2 cans of black beans, drained and rinsed
2 cans of corn, drained and rinsed
1 bunch green onion, chopped
½ purple onion, chopped
1-2 cups red, orange, yellow and green peppers, chopped
Cilantro, leaves pulled and chopped
2 tsp olive oil
2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tsp. Lime juice
¼ tsp. Garlic powder, salt and pepper (to taste)
Mix and serve. This makes a big bowl, the picture below is just half of what it made. So if you want the recipe can be cut in half.
Serve with corn chips – I used blue ones.
We played bingo – my daughter was home on break so she called Bingo for us (She thought it would be great practice for her upcoming band fundraiser too. Yes, believe it or not she is a Band Director. This is her second year of teaching now!)
Here are just a couple of the prize winners – we played 5 games
And of course we crafted together
And this February’s project was such a hit I thought I’d share it with you today in case you’d like to make some too. It’s a book that holds your cards – it includes a perpetual calendar for you too. It’s a great item that I’ve been using myself for years!
I really love the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and it’s beautiful pearl finish that some of the sheets have so I started there. I think the fact that this Designer Series Paper is a bit heavier will help it hold up for years to come.
Here is the video I did for you.
Share What You Love Perpetual Calendar Card Book Video Tutorial
I’ve also created a pdf for you with the step by step directions and supply list.
Share What You Love Perpetual Calendar Card Book PDF
And here is the link for the Calendar pages for you. I simply printed them off onto Whisper White card stock.
I think these are going to make great gifts, so I’ll be getting a few more packages of this DSP so I can start my holiday gifts now and earn FREE Sale-a-bration items too! This pack of Designer Series Paper has 24 sheets in it so you can make several per pack of DSP and then use the extra sheets to create cards to go with the book!
Love the project but don’t have a binding machine? That’s not a problem – check with your local Office Supply Store. They normally can bind things for you or allow you to use their machine when you purchase the combs from them.
Enjoy!
And if you think this might be something you may enjoy – why not consider joining my team? It’s a great time to join with the fantastic kit option and right now you have the ability to get the NEW coordinating products for Sale-a-bration (March promotion) in your starter kit too! So what to see the card I made? Here you go!
I’ve whipped up a quick tutorial for you so you can make some too if you’d like –
So What do you think? The Share What You Love Designer Series Paper has a wonderful pearl finish on some of the images so it makes a lovely addition to any project.

Today’s project is a personalized album using the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper. I chose this paper because since it is black & white I could customize the albums with my team members favorite color. I think they turned out pretty cool.
I love to pamper my team at OnStage and I thought it would be a fun way for them to keep their memories of the event and the fun they had together. I also made a coordinating bag tag for everyone with charms to go on their key chains later.
I used some Shrinky Dinks for the OnStage piece – fun, right?
I think the team were pleased when they found them in their rooms.
Want to see how to make one of the Photo Albums for yourself?
I’ve made some personalized photo albums by simply changing out the OnStage image and adding a letter using our Large Letter Dies. I also made some quick modifications to the inside – that’s the beautify of this album! You can add pages, change the cover or color, journaling areas – the options are unlimited!
I’ve created some for family and friends too – so I’m all set for my upcoming gift giving needs – got to love that, right? lol
Here is my Petal Passion Personalized Photo Album Video Tutorial
And since you’ll need the supply list and measurements I’ve whipped up a PDF too – I’ve included lots of pictures for you so you can see all the pages finished.

I love to send out thank you cards each month to my stamping friends – It not only allows me to share, but say thank you to them for choosing me as their demonstrator. This month’s card is a monochromatic card made with the All Things Thanks stamp set, which is one of my favorites since it has a variety of fonts and sizes. It makes it a perfect set for all kinds of projects!
And the fact it is monochromatic makes it perfect for new stampers since it uses a limited amount of supplies!
Just a reminder as we head in to the last couple of weeks of Sale-a-bration. Love boxes? Here is a quick and easy one you can make to hold small items. I made this box recently to hold a gift that my Team received – a scissors charm.
The Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper is breath taking with the silver foil and one of my first purchases when I was able to do my OnStage Product Purchase Premiere that I shared with you back in November. The package has 12 patterns and each one of the 6 double sided patterns has a side with silver foil on it. So you’ve got lots of designs to choose from!
This adorable little box is so quick and easy to make that I couldn’t resist doing a video tutorial for you so you can make some too.
Sweet Soiree Box Video Tutorial
Easy? I’ve given you a complete supply list below for the box. And would you like to know how I made these charms?
Shrinky Dinks! Yes, you heard me right – a throw back to our childhood. I love watching them curl up and shrink. LOL!
Simply stamp the images from the Crafting Forever stamp set (143955/143958) onto the Shrinky Dinks using Basic Black Archival Ink and color them with Stampin’ Blends or Sharpies. (Be careful not to touch the line image or it may smear.)
I fussy cut the scissors and used a circle punch for the sentiments. After that I punched a 1/8″ circle using my Handheld Circle Punch. Heated according to the directions and then added them to a jump ring so that I could add them to the premade holder.
Quick and easy – since I made the scissors different colors we can all tell our scissors apart now!

I just love this NEW Crafting Forever stamp set (143955/143958) and couldn’t resist using it for the Catalog Kick Off. The sayings are fun and the images are great for those of us who love crafting.
I found these fun colorful post it flags at the dollar spot and wanted to create a little holder for them to go along with the new catalog.
After all mine has little flags sticking out all over the place yours should too. LOL! My wish list is long and this catalog has some wonderful new products that I can’t resist!
I couldn’t decide which sentiment to use – so I chose to make some of each.
