Construction Zone Card Tutorial

Today’s card is one I created as a OnStage swap in Houston. I just love this little Construction Zone stamp set (161582) with it’s fun little images and have shared a number of tutorials with you using it.

I’ve chose to do it in bold colors and the Stampin’ Blends make that easy to do.

While looking through my stash I found an unlike choice for the Designer Series Paper, the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper (161304) with it’s fun black & white patterns.

I chose this pattern because it made me think of tire tracks. This card was so quick and easy to create. Check out my video tutorial.

Want to make this card? I’ve got a printable PDF for you today that includes everything you need, even the video link.

Fun with Shutter Cards & the NEW Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper

Remember today kicks off a whole week of fun tutorials to celebrate my 15th Anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. It’s my way of saying thank you for being part of my journey, I wouldn’t be able to do this without all my wonderful crafting friends.

So today’s card is a fun little card that is 3d and uses the Construction Zone stamp set (161582). It will fold flat when you want to mail it and pops up and creates a little box for you to display making it a lot of fun.

This card is great for the guys in our lives and our Stampin’ Blends make it a snap to add bold color.

For this card I chose to team it up with the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper (161289) and fun Deckled Circle Dies (162286). I just thought this side of the Designer Series Paper looked a lot like our red Georgia clay! I just love how our products are so versatile and work together. Don’t you?

Perennial Lavender Suite

Lavender. The sweet smell and calming feel that comes with it as you breath it in. Stampin’ Up! has given us a wonderful Suite of products highlighting this wonderful plant that is filled with a variety of images.

And the sentiments found in the Perennial Postage Bundle (162608) are wonderful for our upcoming Mother’s Day and needs through out the year. Check out this lovely card sending a virtual hug in the mail that uses simple stamping.

Want to step it up a bit? How about some dies and embossing folders like this next card uses?

The Perennial Postage Dies (162607) and Basic 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusives 1611598) have been used along with the Painted Lavender Bundle (162597) create a card that is filled with texture. And finally a fun fold with a quick and simple technique.

Our Clear block has been used to create this water colored wash block of color behind the lavender. And this technique is so easy to do. Simply ink up your block first with the lighter color, in this case Fresh Freesia and then add a darker shade like Gorgeous Grape to the one half use our Stampin Spritzer (126185) filled with water to spray it and allow to blend, then stamp. Voila! a great look, right?

Quick and simple techniques like this are a lot of fun and so simple to do too. It’s part of what drew me to Stamping in the first place – creativity at it’s best.

Why not check out all the products in the Perennial Lavender Suite (162613) and see what appeals to you? Remember if one of the items are on back order in a Suite or Bundle you can still order the other items separately.

Trusty Tools & Sale-a-bration’s Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper

Woohoo! Coordination at it’s finest along with a great tool Bundle for the guys in our lives. Who doesn’t love that? Today’s cards not only the Trusty Tools Bundle (162723) but

they use one of our FREE Sale-a-bration products the Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 162978). This paper is filled will wonderful images that our dies will cut out too! That makes it sooo easy to use and cards quick and easy too.

Like I said coordination at it’s finest! Check out these cards using these products. This first few cards use simple stamping and the paper to create the cards. Strips of different patterns were used to create this first card.

Along with our Lost Lagoon 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon (161171) and Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots (159082) making a quick and easy Father’s Day card. And this next card uses a score line to create a fun fold.

The card is a 4 1/4 x 11 inch card base that has been scored on the 5 1/2″ and then on the 10″ marks. The bottom 1 inch section has been folded up and the rich Pecan Pie 1/2″ Bordered Ribbon (161634) holds it in place.

This next simple stamping card uses the Patchwork Pieces Dies (161592) seen below cut your Designer Series Paper for you and adds a fun little stitched edge to them too.

Our little Adhesive Backed Cork Rounds (162643) add a bit of texture to the sentiment. Add the sentiment of your choice inside, like a birthday from the Biggest Wish stamp set (155052) and you’ve got a great masculine birthday card. And how about this next card that teams the products up with the He’s All That stamp set (159071) and the coordinating dies?

This card uses a quick and easy technique using our Stampin’ Write Markers to color the different parts of the sentiment. This technique is a great way to add multiple colors to images, simply use the side of the flair tip to color the sections you desire. Make sure to start with the lightest color first so you don’t mix colors on your marker tip. Then simply breath on the image to reactivate the ink and stamp. Yep, it really is that easy! This card is also a gift card holder making it a great way to give a gift too.

To create a pocket for the gift card simply cut your card base at 11 x 4 1/4 inches and then score at the 5 1/2 and 8 3/4 inch marks. Tear & Tape is a great adhesive for the top and bottom of the pocket to hold things firmly.

And for the final card today, that fun little die found in the Trusty Tools Dies (162722) that creates a little peg board for your projects.

The images from the Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 162978) have been die cut for quick color and the bold sentiment has been fussy cut so it could hang on the board.

Whether your guy is a handy man or a tool collector, he’ll be sure to enjoy projects made with these products.

Sale-a-bration’s Watercolor Melon

While it is a rainy winter day here in Georgia there is a taste of spring in the air so I thought I’d share a fun set that will make us all think of those warm summer days that aren’t far off.

Watercolor Melon Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration 162962) is a photopolymer stamp set that makes the two step a breeze. The images have a fun watercolor look giving you a built in shading that makes the melon look real too.

Check out these cards to see what I mean. this first card uses simple stamping to create a fun card. Done in Sweet Sorbet and Garden Green it uses a fun angle for the sentiment.

And while this set is a sentiment set it makes it great for choosing a stamp set like the Perennial Postage Stamp set (162598) to team it up with. And this next card uses the same sweet Sweet Sorbet 1/4″ Ribbon (162558) for a little pop of texture on the watermelon that has been punched out using the Modern Oval Punch (162234)

which makes popping it up like it is on this card a snap! This next card teams up these fun images with the Basic 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusives 1611598) for some texture in the background and the Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusives 162735).

A pop of shine has been added with the Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels (158130). You’ll love how these rhinestones pick up the colors around them. And our last card uses a fun gingham check in Blueberry Bushel from the Glorious Gingham 6×6 Designer Series Paper (163170) for a summer time feel.

The watermelon uses a simple technique called shadow stamping. The melon was first stamped in Lemon Lime Twist Classic Ink and then again in Garden Green Classic Ink. The second color is just slightly lower than the first image allowing you to see both colors. And the vines use the stamping off method to create two different shades of the Garden Green. Both area great techniques that allow you to use stretch your stamping skills and supplies!

Did you know that Sale-a-bration ends on February 29th? And there are 3 fun ways to take advantage of our Sale-a-bration promotion? Shop, Host, or Join. the choice is yours! Got questions?
