True Beauty & Back Stage Fun!

Yesterday I shared the first of two swaps that I created for the Back Stage event last week. I I decided I wanted to do both a masculine and feminine card for the swaps. So today I’ll be sharing the swap I made with the True Beauty stamp set (158976).

This stamp set is perfect for feminine cards with it’s floral images and lovely font. The true watercolor look is built into the stamp so it’s soo easy to use and create a multidimensional look for any project!

This set also has a coordinating set of dies and is part of a suite of products, but for this project I wanted to keep it simple. (A late night the day before you fly out will do that lol)

Here is the card I came up with.

Sweet with a bold pop of color. Perfect for a friend! So why not check out my video tutorial and pdf for the project I have created for you? And did you know when I give you a Classic Ink item # on my pdfs I include the reinker item # for the ink pad? I always tell folks to order them together so you’ll never have a dry ink pad. Nothing more frustrating when creating, right? Something I learned the hard way when I first started stamping. Anyhow here is the the video tutorial.

And how about some pictures too – Back Stage is a special event that Stampin’ Up! holds for it’s leaders once a year. It was held in New Orleans this year some place I’d never been before, so it was exciting to see what this town was all about. We stayed in the French Quarter and after I arrived I had some time grab lunch and to explore with new friends before our Sweets & Swaps event that evening.

Check in brought a fun swap bag filled with goodies – Stampin’ Up! always spoils us!

Swapping with 500 of your fellow leaders what could be more fun?

and of course there were sweets and entertainment too!

The next 2 days brought lots of wonderful local food, training, fun and fellowship with new and old friends.

And our final night ended with a Mardi Gras parade and party.

As always our hearts were full as we said goodbye at the end of the evening,

Splendid Thoughts Card Tutorial

Today’s tutorial shows off the Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper (159666) that is found in the Splendid Day Suite of products and boy does it shine!

Another fun project using the Splendid Day Suite

As promised, here is the second of 4 projects I’ll be sharing with you that include a video and pdf with measurements and supply list. You’ll love the simple elegance of this card and a fun sponging technique that is used to create the background on this card.

The beautiful line image that this set uses is so versatile and the sentiments use a lovely font. You’re going to love working with the Suite of products. Since these images that are in the Splendid Stem Dies (159676) are fine lines our Adhesive Sheets (152334) are a great choice to use too.

Fun with the Splendid Thoughts Bundle

Last month during a demonstrator event, Creativity Now, we got to create projects using the Splendid Thoughts Bundle (159677) and other products in the Suite (159681).

Did you know this bundle is part of our July – December Mini Catalog? This bundle is specially designed with all occasions sentiments that can be used through out the year. I fell in love with this suite after playing with it during the event. As a team we gathered for an After Party and had fun stamping together. They enjoyed it so much I thought I’d share them with you. So over the next few posts I’ll be sharing a total of 4 of the lovely projects that we made.

Delicate Dahlias Triple Stamping Technique Card

Whoo hoo, I’m back. After several days of computer issues I’m happy to say I can share this fun project with you. Don’t you hate it when technology isn’t playing nice? So without further fan fare here is the project using this simple fun technique that packs a wow.

I just love this stamp set with it’s beautiful 2 step images and all occasions sentiments. I’ve used one of my favorite In Colors, Pale Papaya for the flowers and teamed it up with Calypso Coral for a two tone effect.

Sweet Ice Cream Thank You Card

Today’s card is one I created to share during our OnTour event. I wanted to show case the NEW 2021 In Colors that I had just received during PreOrder. Here is what I came up with.

I like the way the card turned out. I used the Basic Borders Die to create a “table cloth” since I thought the Soft Succulent gave off a vintage vibe. I’m really loving the Evening Evergreen since it can be used as a neutral color like I did here.

I’ve whipped up a quick video tutorial for you. This is a two step stamp set and so you’ve got all kinds of options.

On a personal note I wanted to let you know that Larry and I are getting ready for the Stampin’ Up! Maui Incentive Trip. Since this is a very special trip and we haven’t had a real vacation in many years, we decided to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. Starting this Thursday I plan on having blog posts scheduled for you to enjoy while we are gone, and if everything works correctly you’ll see them like normal. My regular office hours will resume on May 26th. I will check email, but I won’t be able to respond as quickly as I normally would. Stay tuned – I will share on face book group and when here I return.
