I’m so excited to have our Storage by Stampin’ Up! back and available to order. I really love the pieces I already have and am excited to be able to build on them.
Our new storage is modular, so it gives us tons of options to individualize it to our crafting space and needs. And we can build it as our budget allows – which is a win, win!
If you haven’t already seen the individual pieces you’ll want to.
And great news in playing with my storage pieces I’ve customized mine with an simple additional step to make things even easier for me.
Now with a quick look I I can things back in their place – After all I love to organize things, as you know. And today I’m sharing it with you – So here is what I’ve come up with.
Can you see what I’ve added? I like to have things put back in their place and visually see what I’ve left laying out on my desk – and laying around my creative space. I seem to be a “messy” creative person. Sound familiar? I think that is a lot of us. LOL!
It’s simple I’ve simply added a piece of card stock and one of my organizational labels to the bottom of my Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays! Super simple, right? And now anyone can put things where they belong with a quick glance!
And I’ve done the same thing to my Stampin’ Blends Storage Trays so that as I build my collection I can put them right back in their spots!
Because these trays come apart this process is a easy one. And when you want to change the labeling system it will be easy too. Simply take them apart and replace the card stock colors as needed.
Want to do this too? Here are the measurements for you-
Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays
• Cut each piece of card stock to 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
• Then add one of my Annual Catalog File Drawer Labels that you can find and print HERE that I shared with you earlier.
• Add a bit of Snail or a Mini Glue Dot to each piece of Card Stock and adhere to the shelf.
Stampin’ Blends Storage Trays
• Cut each piece of card stock to 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ (perfect for those strips we have left over)
• Add a bit of Snail or Mini Glue Dot to each piece of Card stock and adhere to the slot
Yep! it’s that simple – and not only will you know exactly where your supplies go, you’ll also have a beautiful array of colors showing in those spots that are empty while you are crafting too!
Now the hard part – deciding how I want to stack them! Oh, wait there is no stress about that, since I can move them around as I play with my crafting items until I’m happy! LOVE IT!!!

This is a photo of my Simply Shammy after an event. tons of ink on it and it needs a good cleaning. I rinsed it in the sink to start with and got a lot of ink out of it, but still I felt it needed a better cleaning. So I jumped in and threw it in my dishwasher. Yes, you head me correctly. The color faded, I guess from the additive (I’m guessing) in the soap which didn’t bother me. However, while this worked I had stood it up on the top rack and it left little “dents” in my Simply Shammy where it rested on the bottom that have never come out. This did not make me happy.
You can see it here on the right side of the Simply Shammy.
So I figured I’d try the washer with my towels (and even my sheets lately in a pinch). I know what you’re thinking. It will stain my towels, right? I didn’t find that to be the case at all. But if you are still a little hesitant why not throw it in with something dark?
And this process worked even with the hot water I use for my towels and it didn’t leave marks or make the Simply Shammy fade either which made me happy. I’ve even missed one and dried it with the towels, it didn’t seem to hurt it but I try not to do that.
Love it! They are Clean & Fresh and ready to go for the next event!
So if your Simply Shammy is getting a bit grungy why not give it a try?
I really love these things and have multiples that I keep in a “carrying” case so I can take it with me and it stays moist when I’m stamping – If you haven’t seen my post and download for it you can check it out HERE.
Remember to allow yours to dry when not in use and simply wet again when you need it. Here in Georgia it is pretty humid so they can get kind of gross if you don’t.
You’ve got 2 great Designer Series Paper Options for the NEW 2019 Annual Catalog!

And who doesn’t love that? The share price is based on the price listed in the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Annual Catalog.

Today’s project is my take on a quick and easy basket. AND it’s perfect for spring, especially since it uses our lovely Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper!
I made this basket with a moving handle so it is more like a picnic basket than an Easter basket. Don’t you love the little bit of lace on the handle? I made this with our Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and it was so easy to do with just a small strip of Whisper White card stock.
Want to whip some of these up too? They are a nice size so add a little shredded paper and treat and you’re set to go. You can make a ton of these with just one stack of Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper and it comes in a variety of spring like colors so they are perfect for giving to others!
I hope you’ll enjoy making these cute little baskets too.
On a personal note I thought that I’d finally share the home improvement project that I was working on with you. I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and then realized last night that I’d taken the pictures but didn’t share them. Sigh. Some days… lol Can you relate?
Any how here is what was keeping me busy – I still have a couple of finishing touch of things I need to do, but it’s all good.
I had a great time watching my son work on and build the cabinets and then watching the kitchen come together after dreaming about it for so long. I’m bias, but I think my son has done a great job. It turned out beautifully and I really like the look of the hickory. Johnathan did a beautiful job of choosing the grains so they look nice. I love doing projects like this together – great family time and memories being created in addition to a functional end result. You’ll get to see it yourself the next time to come to class, since this space is for our use and will make things easier than the old temporary kitchen set up.

Wow, I’m celebrating my 10 year Anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator this month and boy the time has flown. Like most demonstrators I joined for the 20% discount so I could get more of the products I love.
So I never thought I’d also be Celebrating my 10 Year Anniversary AND a personal sales goal of $100,000 – that’s a lot of stamps, ink, and card stock! What a journey it has been from wanting that initial kit and discount to hitting this personal sales goal!
I didn’t intend to do classes or parties – and look where I am 10 years later with the initial small push of my good friend Debbie to teach her and some friends how to make Easter Treats!
Whew! I never dreamed it would lead to so many wonderful friendships, getting to know so many great crafters, and even attending Stampin’ Up! events like Center Stage at Disney’s Epcot last November. In addition I’ve grown and learned so many new things; blogging, YouTube, things that weren’t in my vocabulary 10 years ago when I just wanted to create cards and gifts for family and friends.
So THANK YOU! I have so many to thank. . . my family for their patience and for never complaining (at least not much) about my crazy schedule and long work weeks… my amazing, stampers and customers for finding me and stamping with me . . . my wonderful team members, The Blue Mountain Stampers, who share and inspire me in so many ways . . . my adopted upline, Kathleen Innes for taking me under your wing, challenging me, and having faith in me while answering all those questions when I was a newbie and starting my first blog. My adopted SINKS sisters and their leader Susan Barron for encouraging me along the way and opening up next experiences for me . . . and Stampin’ Up! for giving me the confidence in myself and a chance to grow and share. And YOU!
And since I couldn’t do what I love with out you… I wanted to give a little something to those that placed orders the day I hit my $100,000 sales goal – These little sets of exclusive Stampin’ Up! notebooks will be going to Mary and Pat, as a small token of my appreciation.
I also want to share my 10 Year Anniversary Celebration and with YOU!
So what is happening starting today?
Anyone who places an order will receive a GIFT from me!
Please Use Hostess Code: 44SNJGKN
I’ll include a special hand stamped card (that I’ve designed in your package) along with the following:
• Receive 10 hand stamped cards with any order and a package of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals with any $35 order

Today’s project is one that we did as last Weekend’s Peak Princess event. What is that you ask? This event is a special one for those on my team who qualify for it. It’s an afternoon of pampering – filled with games, prizes, and a special project and best of all time together.
Want to see some photos? This first one is of the class room, ready to go – the little skinny notepads that I shared with you yesterday are at everyone’s seats.
And of course there has to be some goodies, right?
One of the dishes I served was a delicious Black Bean Salsa that Sara Douglas shared with us on her face book page, sorry I can’t find it again to link it for you. She gave approximate measurements since she doesn’t measure the chopped ingredients – so I’m giving you what I did below. You can tweak it to fit your tastes.
Black Bean Salsa
Sara Douglass, Stampin’ Up! CEO
2 cans of black beans, drained and rinsed
2 cans of corn, drained and rinsed
1 bunch green onion, chopped
½ purple onion, chopped
1-2 cups red, orange, yellow and green peppers, chopped
Cilantro, leaves pulled and chopped
2 tsp olive oil
2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tsp. Lime juice
¼ tsp. Garlic powder, salt and pepper (to taste)
Mix and serve. This makes a big bowl, the picture below is just half of what it made. So if you want the recipe can be cut in half.
Serve with corn chips – I used blue ones.
We played bingo – my daughter was home on break so she called Bingo for us (She thought it would be great practice for her upcoming band fundraiser too. Yes, believe it or not she is a Band Director. This is her second year of teaching now!)
Here are just a couple of the prize winners – we played 5 games
And of course we crafted together
And this February’s project was such a hit I thought I’d share it with you today in case you’d like to make some too. It’s a book that holds your cards – it includes a perpetual calendar for you too. It’s a great item that I’ve been using myself for years!
I really love the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and it’s beautiful pearl finish that some of the sheets have so I started there. I think the fact that this Designer Series Paper is a bit heavier will help it hold up for years to come.
Here is the video I did for you.
Share What You Love Perpetual Calendar Card Book Video Tutorial
I’ve also created a pdf for you with the step by step directions and supply list.
Share What You Love Perpetual Calendar Card Book PDF
And here is the link for the Calendar pages for you. I simply printed them off onto Whisper White card stock.
I think these are going to make great gifts, so I’ll be getting a few more packages of this DSP so I can start my holiday gifts now and earn FREE Sale-a-bration items too! This pack of Designer Series Paper has 24 sheets in it so you can make several per pack of DSP and then use the extra sheets to create cards to go with the book!
Love the project but don’t have a binding machine? That’s not a problem – check with your local Office Supply Store. They normally can bind things for you or allow you to use their machine when you purchase the combs from them.
Enjoy!
And if you think this might be something you may enjoy – why not consider joining my team? It’s a great time to join with the fantastic kit option and right now you have the ability to get the NEW coordinating products for Sale-a-bration (March promotion) in your starter kit too! Today’s cards are all made with the Healing Hugs stamp set from the Annual Catalog. I think this stamp set is one of my favorites with its DisInktive images and clearly I’m not alone. I’ve already shared my cards and their tutorials that I designed for Sherrie’s Shoe box Swap and clearly others love it as much as I do because I got to make these wonderful versions during the 2 shoe box events.
The first card uses the Joy Fold and is done in Blackberry Bliss and Soft Sea Foam.
This next one uses the Soft Sea Foam but instead teams it up with Highland Heather for a softer version. The Tufted Embossing Folder (146335) adds some texture to the background as well as the little touch of stamping down the sentiment piece.
The ribbon with it’s copper edging is from our Team Room Ribbon Combo Pack (146893)
And this final card uses the Bold Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss combination.
We added texture to the background using the Petal Burst Embossing Folder (144193) and fussy cut two flowers and the leaves. I love the way the pearls add a touch of elegance to this card.
Which is your favorite? Why not leave me a comment and let me know?

Stampin’ Up! spoiled us completely at this event, starting with our beautiful boxes –
which contained a lovely 30 year logo bag filled with goodies and hints of what was to come.
The areas were decorated beautifully with 30 years of memories and displays- This is the year I joined. (Wow, I’ll be celebrating my 10th Anniversary soon!)
Here is a picture of our Make n Take area.
The excitement was high as we got our first peek at the Occasions Catalog & Sale-a-bration offerings.
And of course there were lots of Prize Patrols too!!!
Over the 3 day event we stamped using the NEW Cling stamps – Yes, I said NEW Cling stamps. You’re going to love these! Starting with the Occasions Catalog Stampin’ Up! announced we will be replacing our Clear Mount Stamps with Cling stamps. The same great red rubber with with a stickier label so they’ll stick to our blocks better! Whoo hoo! (After I get to play with them a bit more I’ll do a video to share some tips on assembly and use for you.) They also told us we will no longer carry Wood Mount stamps except for Background Stamps beginning with our 2019 Annual Catalog.
3 full days packed with stamping, sharing, and making friends from around the world
I’m glad that so many of my team members made this their first OnStage Live event and got to meet Shelli Gardner.
We finished the week off with a lovely dinner together with our SINKS friends at the Copper Canyon Grill. My friend, Susan gave us this lovely gift box that holds a Take Your Pick Tool and special book mark with our initials.
Happy, tired and energized by all the exciting new products we headed home. I still can’t believe all the wonderful products that Stampin’ Up! generously gave us during this event.
My table was spilling over as I unpacked!

It’s Thanksgiving today which means a variety of actives for us – so today’s post will be a quick one that is filled with lots of photos for you.
As I sit here thinking about the past year and everything that I am thankful for in my life I must include YOU, my stamping friends. So THANK YOU for all your friendship and support over the past year. I appreciate it more than I can say. Thank You for your patience as I’ve recovered from my ruptured disks and have grappled with my inability to do my normal every day things. Thank YOU for making my life richer, fuller and happier – YOU will be one of the blessings I will be counting today. And of course Thank you for allowing me to share my passion for stamping with you!
So on to some photos to inspire us – one of my favorite parts of OnStage is the sharing of our stamping ideas so there are tons of inspiration! Here are just a few of the boards.
These first two cards use the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies (146840). Our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (144106) make these dies so quick and easy to use!
The Time for Tea Suite of products found on page 14 & 15 of the Annual Catalog were used for this card. If you love this suite I’ve got a class coming up in December. Why not Check out my Calendar of Events? You can sign up today, get the Bundle and the class is FREE!
Love the images from the Spirited Snowman stamp set (148075/148072) found in the Holiday Catalog teamed up with the Buffalo Check (147797/147794).
And who doesn’t love this cute little hedgehog made with the Painted Harvest stamp set (144783).
How about this bright card made with Friendly Conversations (146738/146741)?
I love simplicity of this card made with the Rooted in Nature set (146479/146482)
And aren’t these paper trees cute?
I had to go looking for this cute little guy – He is from the Best Bunny stamp set (147136) which has a coordinating punch.
And finally this card was made with our Host Set, Hand Delivered (146808) I love the way the Happy Birthday Thinlits (143700) and the eclipse technique were used.
Whew! Inspired? Now how about some shoe box swaps? The house is still quiet, lol!
I really love this One Wild Ride (141721/141724) card done in Blueberry Bushel
And the Love What You Do suite of products were used for this card.
Here’s another card made with the Best Bunny stamp set- this time it’s for baby. Done in Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.
A shaker card made with the Sea of Texture stamp set (146485/146488). This card was so much fun to make with it’s beads (146337).
And a couple of card made with the Animal Outing stamp set (146597/146600) to finish off today’s cards.
Just a little bit of news from Stampin’ Up! to finish things up

I’ve got soo many great cards to share with you I’m not sure where to start – so today’s post will be focusing on some of the cards I made during Sherrie’s Shoe box Swap again. All the sets can be found in our Annual Catalog.
This first one using the Floral Frames stamp set (146505/146508) we heat embossed the image and sentiment using White Embossing Powder and then used our Smoky Slate Blends Combo Pack (145058) to color in the images. So simple – but clearly beautiful as you can see.
And this next card uses the Friendly Expressions stamp set (146670/146673).
Done in Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green with a splatter of our Frost White Shimmer Paint (147046) I think the combination is quite striking.
These two were my favorites from today’s cards – but here are some more great cards too.
How about this fun and vibrant card using the Varied Vases stamp set (146644) and the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (146289)?
And these next two cards are made using the Dandelion Wishes stamp set (146744/146747).
Or how about this one using the Hanging Garden stamp set (146236/146239) and color blocking?
And the final card today is one that uses the Enjoy Live stamp set (148190)?
Can you pick just one favorite? LOL! why not leave me a comment and let me know?
OnStage Team Goodies
And now a little more about OnStage Live in Orlando – I love making these little name tags for my team for event event, after all when there are over 6,000 of the same bag roaming around you want to make sure you can find it, right? And so here is what I came up with for this events bag tag.
Each tag had 3 special charms to commemorate the event plus a special charm that my fellow team member Sue made for the end of each.
She created such a lovely dragonfly charm for me with just wire, beads and pliers. She made it look sooo easy that I can’t wait to give it a try myself when I get a chance. Although something tells me it won’t be quite as easy as she made it look! But then that is the great part about being part of a team, we all have different strengths that we share with each other!
They really looked nice on our bags I think.
I also tried my hand at some special organizers for everyone that a fellow leader shared with me.
I love the way they turned out and the little post it holders with flags for marking our new catties!
And what can I say I was having way too much fun playing in my classroom – so everyone received a little OnStage Live Survival Kit too.
Filled with everything you might need for our 3 day event. I found this cute little list and adjusted it to my needs.
What can I say, I appreciate and value my team and the richness they bring to my life! They are truly a blessing.
Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing some more wonderful swaps and some of the display boards from OnStage too!
