Heartland, OnStage & More

Today I’m going to share one of my cards that I created for my OnStage swaps and I’m including a tutorial for you too. This set makes a wonderful masculine cards and I’m always in need of that! How about you?

Love it- it reminds me of all those barns that dotted the country side in Wisconsin. As a child they did school field trips to a really cool living museum, Old World Wisconsin, where they had moved all kinds of barns and had live reenactments from different time periods. It really brought history to life. However, I do remember having been very tired at the end of the day for the long bus ride home. LOL I should have such energy now!

Any how, I bet you’d like to see the tutorial, right?

Enjoy! I’ll include the supply list at the bottom of this post for you, so scroll down.

More OnStage….

On a personal note I wanted to share some more photos of OnStage Live – Salt Lake with you. I also want to say thank you, to my fellow crafters, stamping friends, and Team members for your support and help in reaching my goal this year. I couldn’t have taken this step on my journey without each and everyone of you!

I was one of the 160 Demonstrators world wide who promoted to Silver Elite this year and just 1 of the 44 who were in attendance at OnStage Live in Salt Lake who were recognized with a walk across the stage. I can tell you it made my first Live event VERY special.

I couldn’t have done it without you and I’m feel extremely blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life! Meeting and creating friendships while stamping was a special blessing that I didn’t expect when I joined the Stampin’ Up! family 8 years ago. So thank you again!

This promotion allowed me to participate in Leadership training, which allows me to share even more with you. And I can’t wait to share – I’m so excited about the new Occasions Catalog and Saleabration offerings I hope you will be too!

CenterStage is a special event that I was able to attend Thursday night with some wonderful entertainment.  Here is my friend Susan and I at the dinner. We had the pleasure of sitting with Nancy Gauthier and some of her team. (Nancy was the #1 Demonstrator in Leadership in Canada).

I thoroughly enjoyed Jason Hewett who was the entertainment for the night. I laughed until I cried he was sooooo funny!  I wasn’t alone, we were all wiping our eyes by the time he finished. You can find some of his older stuff on YouTube if you are curious.

Stamparatus Update

Wow,  if you tried to reserve a Stamparatus yesterday you know the reservations closed much quicker than expected. Please contact me and I’ll be happy to put you on my Stamparatus list and make sure you get any future information about the new reservation process.

I’m afraid I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post tomorrow since I’ll be having a new heating and air system installed.  I’ve been without now since October 8th! Yikes and its getting a bit nippier at night inside my house with the cooler temps. I’ll have to wait and see and crazy it gets around here.

I still have to share a 3d tutorial with you and some wonderful swaps I received at OnStage – so stop on by.

On Stage, Country Living & More

Wow, it has been a world wind 7 days with lots of fun, laughter, and friends! I’ve got lots to share with you, but today I’m going to share a card that I created for my On Stage Shoebox Swap with Sherrie and more!

I’ve waited 8 years to get to go to a Stampin’ Up! event in Salt Lake and it was well worth the wait – I had a blast and can’t wait for the next On Stage in April, after all I always enjoy stamping with 2,700 of my closest friends. LOL!

My roommate Marnie and I  took off in the wee morning on Tuesday, ready for adventure.

We arrived in Salt Lake ready to check out the city – a quick peek out our window after we checked in (what a view)

And then enjoyed the stroll around Temple Square which included an organ recital there,

and the City Creek Center, which was an outdoor mall where we had lunch at the Blue Lemon, yum.

I couldn’t resist stopping in the chocolate shop, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which smelled heavenly and picking something up for my hubby, Larry whom I’m left at home. As many of you know he is a chocolate fiend!

And of course we had to check out the Salt Lake Palace Convention Center.

It was fun to see all the Stampin’ Up! On Stage Banners on the posts. It was a full day for sure.

Wednesday, I did a Sherrie’s Shoebox Swap so today I thought I would share a tutorial for my card with you. Want to see the card? I really loved the way it turned out.

Here is the card I created.

I call it Boots and Bandanas – can you see my old-fashioned bandana in the background that I created with the Paisley & Posies Stamp Set. Larry didn’t I had to explain it to him, he just shrugged at me – men lol.

Here is the tutorial for you so you can make one too.

More On Stage, Beautiful You & a Sneak Peek!

I’ll be sharing a few more photos of my On Stage experience with you today along with a Sneak Peek video! I’ve never done a video before sharing items from the Product Purchase Premiere, but thought you might enjoy a peek at the experience of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

A Stampin’ Up! Event always includes wonderful displays of projects created by many talented Demonstrators.

New product boards so we can not only see but touch and feel too.

Along with presentations of new products and more

And of course one can’t forget Prize Patrol!!! It’s always fun to win!

And then there are the All Attendee Give-A-Ways too!!!! And that’s in addition to what comes in our Event bags (you can seethe bag and the goodies it contained inside in my video) and a copy of the NEW 2017 Annual Catalog. Whew! can you say fun?!

Stampin’ Up! makes these events so much fun and of course gathering with your stamping family is part of the fun too. (I’m met such wonderful stampers over the years from all over.)

As we said goodbye to On Stage Savannah we took a final Team picture at a fun booth they set up.

And enjoyed a lovely dinner together at the Charter House on River Street later that night after the event.

I got to order a special treat – with the She-Crab Soup! Yumm!

On to the Beautiful You Swaps – I really love this set and am very happy that it’s not on the Retirement List. (Happy dance LOL). I created a swap that I took with me using the 2015 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (which is on the list). This allowed me to make multiple cards with the same layout but play with the colors, which was a lot of fun.

It’s spring so I teamed up the Tip Top Taupe pattern with Blushing Bride and Soft Sky. Here are the cards by themselves so you can see them a bit better.

I really love the way these turned out with the coordinating Enamel Shapes a pop of color. I’ve included a complete supply list below (You’ll have to scroll way down to the end), but here are the measurements for you if you’d like to make one too!

Soft Sky Card Stock Base: Cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″; score at 4 1/4″

Tip Top Taupe In Color Designer Series Paper: Cut 3 3/4″ x 5″

Soft Sky Card stock: Cut 3″ x 4 1/4″

Whisper White Card stock: Cut 2 3/4″ x 4″

On Stage, Easter Swaps & More

Want to see a bit more about my On Stage experience? We’ll I’ve got a few more photos to share again today and then LOTS of cards too!

If you have been stamping with me awhile you know about my Caring with Cards program that I do at the Clarkesville Library each month on the 3rd Tuesday between 2 and 3 pm. It’s free, you simply stop by and create some cards to donate for the Ronald McDonald House and Holiday for Heroes. Well as you can see we are making a difference!

Deborah and I carried in 720 cards for the Ronald McDonald House on Saturday!!!! How great is that? Stampin’ Up! always offers what we call a Ronald McDonald House stamp set each year – And if you would like to make a difference too you can still purchase the My Hero stamp set (141954/141957). It’s on the Retirement List so it won’t be available too much longer. Stampin Up will donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald House and you’ll receive a wonderful stamp set at the same time. So why not check it out?

Stampin’ Up! gave us a wonderful bag filled with goodies. Notice the color? Well that is our NEW 2017 In Color, Tranquil Tide you see. (I’ll tell you more about the tag and some of the Team gifts I made next week so be sure to stop back by then).

There was a wonderful planner in every bag along with special pens so we can take lots of notes if we desire. LOL! And the tables are always decorated so pretty – check out the NEW 2017 In Color Card stock!  Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig. Woohoo!!!

Deborah and I had such a nice time  stamping with our friends.

Here is our table

Here is another one using the Basket Bunch Bundle (144731) after all who doesn’t love a chocolate bunny?

Nailed It On Stage Swaps & More!

This past Saturday was Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage event – and can you say WOW! I was blown away by the swaps and NEW 2017-2018 Annual Catalog and think you will be too! Deborah and I hit the road for Savannah early Friday morning.

I’ll be sharing more about On Stage and the new goodies in future posts, but today I wanted to share with you a couple of the swap cards I made and some swaps I received.

This first card I made using the Swan Lake stamp set (142974/142977) and our In Color Dapper Denim. I used the Gold Wink of Stella (141898) to color the beak and add a little shimmer to the water. This stack of 2016 In Color Designer Series Paper #141408 is on the retirement list so get yours before its gone HERE).

Here are some more cards made with our Designer Series Paper Stacks which are all on the retirement list.

this first swap from Cindy uses the Baby Bear stamp set (141859) and the Neutrals Stack of Designer Series Paper (138435).

And this next one if is done in our Dapper Denim again. Barbara used the Custom Tee Bundle (144724) from our Occasions Catalog that is retiring.

And Karen created this classic color combo card using the retiring items Botanical Builders Framelits Dies (140625) and Tin of Cards stamp set (138946) and the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (138435). I’m really going to miss this set since I love the font and the size of the sentiments.

Dragonfly Dreams done in Peekaboo Peach! Love the way Michelle used the Basic Rhinestones (119246) for the eyes.

And finally my Nailed it swap – It was based on my son’s birthday card that I made earlier. You can see that card HERE.

You’ll find the complete supply list below. I can’t tell you how sad I am that this bundle won’t be available after the Occasions Catalog ends. Of course the stamp sets on the retirement list are guaranteed until May 22nd, but our accessories and bundles are only while supplies last. See the complete Retirement List HERE.

Here is another card made with the Nailed It Bundle and Urban Underground Designer Series Paper (142783) that I received in a swap. I just love this suite of products found in the Occasions Catalog on page 47 – the colors are wonderful for masculine cards.

As I am sure you can guess, being the first to see this new catalog or any of our new catalogs is a very exciting AND a  huge perk of being a Demonstrator – after all who wouldn’t want to be first? right!  If you feel this is a good time to join Stampin’ Up! and my team, the Blue Mountain Stampers, you too can be first too! On Stage – Atlanta

Have you ever wondered about what a Stampin’ Up! event is like for Demonstrators? The first weekend in November I was able to attend our regional On Stage event in the Atlanta area! Anticipation was high as Deborah and I drove south from Clarkesville into Atlanta to participate in a Sherrie’s Shoe Box Swap the day before the actual event. It was Deborah’s first Stampin’ Up! event and I knew she was going to love it!

One of the fun things about these events that I enjoy is being able to spend time with  team members, friends and fellow demonstrators from around the country that I’ve met along my stamping journey! And of course I love to pamper my team and room mates.

Want to see what my room mate pillow gifts included? Well here is the batch I made for everyone.

on-stage-pillow-gifts-2

And a close up of of the pillow gift. (I got carried away since I was having so much fun with the pillow gifts.  What’s new right?) The little popcorn box wouldn’t hold it all. LOL!

on-stage-pillow-gifts-3

But that was OK tho since the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series paper I was using is so lovely.. I didn’t want to stop.

Traditionally I always make a name tag for the bag we’ll receive. It helps to keep track of things! Especially when it’s filled with goodies!

on-stage-pillow-gifts-name-tags

This year I used clip art from the event to create the tags  – do you recognize the star pattern paper from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper? I couldn’t resist putting a little bit of holiday magic into the tags.

Here is what was inside the popcorn box.

on-stage-pillow-gifts-1

Since everyone is always on the move and sharing things I like to include hand sanitizer, too. This year I used these pocket sized wipes.

on-stage-pillow-gifts-wet-wipes

And who can’t use a little package of tissues?

on-stage-pillow-gifts-kleenex

along with some gum and a few pieces of candy.

on-stage-pillow-gifts-gum

I also found these wonderful post it note flags and couldn’t resist!

on-stage-pillow-gifts-catalog-post-it-flags

I thought the flags were perfect for marking our NEW Occasions Catalogs with!!! And OMG – I can’t wait for you to see it! I’m loving everything in it – my poor little post it flags are all used up! LOL! (I can’t wait for you to see the products at my Occasions Catalog Launch – I’ll let you know about it soon. But if you’d like to see it before it goes live, why not join my team? Demonstrators get to see things at least 30 days early!)

These pillow gifts greeted everyone in the hotel room.

on-stage-pillow-gifts

And for my Team member I made a little something special – you can never have enough note books!

on-stage-team-pillow-gift-notebook

I really love the way this turned out. Can you see the watermark images done with the Paisleys & Poises stamp set (142196) on the initial? I also used the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper (142017) and coordinating 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack (142021). LOVE this pack of paper – it’s so pretty and the colors are gorgeous together. (I can’t wait to make some more of these for holiday gifts.)

I think Deborah liked it too.

on-stage-team-pillow-gift-deborah

Stampin’ Up! makes an event special with a themed bag that you receive to hold all those goodies and giveaways!

on-stage-atlanta-2016-bag

And the tables are always decorated lovely – This years theme was based on the Lift Me Up stamp set.

on-stage-atlanta-table

And what can I say Stampin’ Up! out did themselves this year! Lot’s of fun, great ideas, sharing and more. And I can’t believe all the wonderful goodies we were given! Between our bag goodies, prize patrol and all event giveaways I was thrilled with lot’s of great products. And then at the very end of the event Stampin’ Up! announced we could share the items on the table that we’d used for our make n takes too!!! Wow! Starting with the most recent birthday we went around the table and chose items until they were gone! What fun.

on-stage-atlanta-2016

My bag was over flowing by the end of the event.

And finally here is my Team photo of Deborah & I. (Unfortunately the Atlanta event sold out so quickly that not everyone on the Team who wanted to attend was able to go.)

on-stage-blue-mountain-stampers-team-photo

But great news for my team and those of us in the Southeast – Our spring On Stage will be in Savannah, Georgia!!! Whoo hoo! Of course we’re already planning on a team trip!

Vintage Leaves Easel Post it Note Holder

I love to make gifts and what could be more practical than a post it note holders – I don’t know about you, but I have a ton of these little pads laying around my work spaces at home. LOL! Who would have back in the 80’s thought these little pads would become so every day! Don’t you wish you had invented them? I digress – so any way without further adieu here it is

I really love the way these turned out – so much so I’m making them for the Bazaar I’m doing this Saturday. So why not stop by this Saturday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Mission Bazaar in Gainesville and say hi? You can find more information about the event HERE on my Calendar of Events.

Caring with Cards & the Ronald McDonald House

On Stage – Tampa

Last weekend I was able to attend the first On Stage Event that Stampin’ Up! held in Tampa, Florida.

On Friday I was able to participate in a shoe box swap with friends and I’ll be sharing some of these great cards with you in the upcoming weeks.

Sherrie's Shoebox Swap 2015 OnStage Tampa

I was so excited to see what the new format for our Demonstrator Events would be like. While the Main Stage was in Brussels, there were 6 different regional events being held at the same time here in the United States and that was in addition to those held in other countries. All total there were more Demonstrators gathered together at one time than in ever before – and the energy was high.

When we entered the ballroom we were greeted by tables filled with new goodies!

On Stage Tampa 2015 Tables

The tables were decorated with Blackberry Bliss table cloths and the theme of one of the new suites, Going Places from the 2016 Occasions Catalog was highlighted in all the goodies on the table.

Of course, no Stampin’ Up! event would be complete without a Prize Patrol!

On Stage Tampa 2015 Prize Patrol

After all who can resist a new stamp set!!! I can’t wait to try out this new set it’s definitely a must have so I was thrilled when I won it!!!

I enjoyed spending time with my fellow team mate JoAnn who joined me in Tampa

And the SINKS team members, my extended family.

On Stage Tampa 2015 Group

It was a great day together and while I had  lot of fun sharing, laughing and stamping together,  getting the first peek at the upcoming Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure was the high light! (I can’t wait to share a sneak peek with you with my Prize Patrol set during the Coffee & Cards Buffet in December! Watch for more information coming your way soon!!!)

After the great day we had together we continued the fun with dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse.

On Stage Tampa 2015 Dinner

What fun, spending time with new and old friends and sharing our favorite moments of the day’s presentation and training.

Oops…. I almost forgot to share with you some of the fun pillow gifts I made for my roommate.

With all that sharing we do I love to jot notes down since I can never remember it all – so I made a notepad set with pen and binder clip for holding all those goodies together

I used the Project Life Remember This stamp set (135786) since I love this sentiment and of course the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper (138187) and  Pacific Point 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (138427).

We receive a special event bag to hold all our goodies in so a name tag is always helpful to identify ours from the rest! After all 398 of the same bags in one place….well you get the idea.

And for my fellow Team members and travel companion I made this cute little domed box.

It held some chocolate, pen, binder clip and of course flags so we could mark all those wonderful must have stamp sets!

The next day was an early morning wake up and off to the airport to head home –

Of course, I made sure I had my new catties on the plane with me – ready to settle in and dream! I think this is the best Occasions and Sale-a-bration yet!

Hot Diggity Dog! On Stage – Tampa

This past Saturday I was able to get together with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators in Tampa for an On Stage presentation by Stampin’ Up! What can I say I love these events, after all what could be better than getting together with others who love stamping as much as you do?

Today’s card is another one that uses the Folded Frame Technique that I shared with you on Friday. Click HERE to see my Folded Frame Video Tutorial.  I designed this card for the On Stage event so I could do some swapping on the floor before it started and I got some great cards in return that I look forward to sharing with you over the next few weeks.

Hot Diggity Dog Folded Frame On Stage 2015 Swap

Isn’t this little guy cute? I love Hot Diggity Dog stamp set since it’s fun and cheerful and of course dogs are a big part of our lives, namely Chewie and Yoda. (Yes, we are Star Wars nerds as Kaitlin calls us.)

Folded Frames Tutorial & On Stage

As I’m typing this up I’m  getting ready for my Shoe box swap and the first ever Stampin’ Up! On Stage event. Whoo hoo! There isn’t anything I enjoy more than getting together with other stampers and stamping. And this event is sure to be a ton of fun!

Would you like to see what I’ll be sharing at my Shoe box Swap? This card highlights the Folded Frame technique and while it looks difficult it really isn’t – which is always the type of technique I love!

From Land to Sea Folded Frame OnStage Sherrie Shoebox Swap 2015

This card was created using our From Land to Sea stamp set (138720/139361) found on page 83 in the Annual Catalog. I love anything water and turtles so that is where I started when creating this card. (Remember those pet turtles that we had and the little plastic dish with the palm tree to keep them in? Oops I’m probably dating myself, oh well my love affair with turtles started with my first pet turtle.)

Want to know how I made this Folded Frame? Well you’re in luck – I’ve done a quick video tutorial on Folded Frames for you so you can make them too!

So what do you think? Why not give it a try and create your own Folded Frame out of your favorite Designer Series Paper?
