I recently attending a DIY Retreat and received these yummy little Ferrero Roche Chocolates at dinner. Of course everyone at the table was on a diet right now, so I ended up with a little pile of them. LOL! As I lined them up on my table they made me think of little pots of gold – so I couldn’t resist making a little box for them for St. Patrick’s Day!
Of course I couldn’t resist adding a little shine to this project, so I pulled out the fabulous Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper. The light green was perfect for this project!
These boxes are quick and easy to make so I whipped up a video tutorial for you in case you wanted to make some too!
So what do you think? Do you want to spread a little luck of the Irish and a little chocolate of course?!
If so I’ve also made a printable PDF tutorial with the supply list and measurements for you to go along with the video.
St. Patty’s Ferrero Roche Gift Box Video Tutorial (printable PDF)
Enjoy!
Salvation Army DIY Weekend
As I mentioned above I was at the DIY retreat when I was inspired by the chocolates so I thought I’d share some pictures with you of the event. It was a wonderfully uplifting weekend that started out a little soggy, but thankfully turned into a sunny event by the end.
I taught two groups the Barn Door Slider Card in Class
and we also made some Lots of Lavender Sachets that I shared with you HERE.
The dining hall was decorated lovely and the tables had coordinating theme center pieces.
The weekend was filled with good food, great fellowship, fun, and friends.
Along with some learning for me too.
What fun we had!
Well that’s it for today – stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing some fun team swaps from this month’s meeting.

This past weekend my Team, the Blue Mountain Stampers, gathered for a few days of stamping, sharing and fun. We gather 3 times a year for these retreats and it is always a blast!
Cindy, gave everyone these sweet little Valentine boxes.
This time there were 7 of us – here is a early morning shot of the space on Saturday morning before the fun began.
This time on Saturday after our Shoe box Swap I introduced the Dice Game – and it seemed to be a hit!
Have you ever played? This game is always fun and it is fast paced!
Here are the rules. There are pans with 2 dice in them, all the prizes are put in the center of the circle. You roll the dice and then pass the pan, if you roll a double you get to choose a prize.
Then after all the prizes are gone from the center the timer is set. Then you start the game again, but this time you steal from each others piles of prizes. Seems there is always one that is highly sought after and is stolen frequently!
When the timer goes off the game is done and everyone gets to open their prizes!
We had so much fun doing this I’m sure we’ll be including it again!
And now on to the cards.
Want to see what we made in our Shoe box Swap? Everyone made great cards to share.
This first one uses the Petal Palette bundle (145973/145974. If you love this bundle of products check out my Class & Events, we’ll be using this in my February 3rd class to create a wonderful stationary box and cards. CLICK HERE for my Calendar of Events.
I love the thinlits in the bundle – this larger cross has beautiful detail and the delicate cross in the set not only cuts the cross out, but also embosses a design on it.

Good news, I’ve got my laptop back and think I’ve got most of the programs back up and running over the weekend – After hours sitting on the phone with tech support last week were still working out some of the bugs, but I’m hoping the rest of 2018 will be a Dell free year! LOL
Now on to some organizational items that I have created for you. After all who doesn’t love organizing their craft room?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I love to pamper my team! So for this month’s team meeting we had our Annual Holiday luncheon and enjoyed some time together where we laughed, shared, played and stamped.
Want to see some of the wonderful items they’ve been making since the last meeting?
Fantastic projects, right? I can’t pick a favorite – I’ve got such a great team of folks who just love to paper craft!
We had fun playing the dice game too. Have you ever played this game?
Fun, and fast paced! And of course when the clock runs out – the goodies are yours!
I made these fun Lots of Lavender Bags. The stamp set is one of our Sale-a-bration options and I couldn’t resist the yummy new ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.
Each bag was filled with a little something special from the NEW Occasions Catalog! Everyone was a winner!
And of course we made a couple of projects too- So we did some stamping too! I had so much fun designing for my Santa’s Workshop Class that I had too many projects for just one class. LOL! You know me I love gift items and 3ds!!! So we made some candle holders and learned a fun new technique while we were at it!
I found these yummy lemon candy canes at the Dollar Tree and couldn’t resist putting them with a lemon scented candle and using the Lemon Zest stamp set (143805/143808). This bundle has very quickly become one of my go to favorites! Lemons, oranges, and limes – oh, my!
I thought you might enjoy making some of these for yourself. With all the crazy flavored candy canes out there right now the options are endless, but of course I can’t resist anything lemon!
Here is my Blue Mountain Stampers’ Lemon Zest Candle Tutorial (printable PDF)

Wow, it has been a world wind 7 days with lots of fun, laughter, and friends! I’ve got lots to share with you, but today I’m going to share a card that I created for my On Stage Shoebox Swap with Sherrie and more!
I’ve waited 8 years to get to go to a Stampin’ Up! event in Salt Lake and it was well worth the wait – I had a blast and can’t wait for the next On Stage in April, after all I always enjoy stamping with 2,700 of my closest friends. LOL!
My roommate Marnie and I took off in the wee morning on Tuesday, ready for adventure.
We arrived in Salt Lake ready to check out the city – a quick peek out our window after we checked in (what a view)
And then enjoyed the stroll around Temple Square which included an organ recital there,
and the City Creek Center, which was an outdoor mall where we had lunch at the Blue Lemon, yum.
I couldn’t resist stopping in the chocolate shop, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which smelled heavenly and picking something up for my hubby, Larry whom I’m left at home. As many of you know he is a chocolate fiend!
And of course we had to check out the Salt Lake Palace Convention Center.
It was fun to see all the Stampin’ Up! On Stage Banners on the posts. It was a full day for sure.
Wednesday, I did a Sherrie’s Shoebox Swap so today I thought I would share a tutorial for my card with you. Want to see the card? I really loved the way it turned out.
Here is the card I created.
I call it Boots and Bandanas – can you see my old-fashioned bandana in the background that I created with the Paisley & Posies Stamp Set. Larry didn’t I had to explain it to him, he just shrugged at me – men lol.
Here is the tutorial for you so you can make one too.

On a personal note here is my Tropical Storm Irma Update
You may have noticed that I haven’t been posting this past week. Thank you for your emails of concern asking how we were here – I caught up on emails yesterday and I’m hoping to be back on track with new posts and my Newsletters next week.
Here in the east corner of Georgia we were hit pretty hard by what once was Hurricane Irma. While it was a tropical storm by the time it reached us, it still packed a wallop for us here in the mountains. Habersham County experienced wide spread power outages and tree damage. I know it doesn’t sound like a lot, but we are a small rural county and we had over 25,000 plus outages and still have over 12,000 to repair as of last nights HEMC update.
While we were extremely lucky to only have this type of damage it is taking a while to get us back up and running again. The line men and others have been diligently working on getting power back and I’m grateful to all those who have come in from other areas and states to help us here in Georgia. I’m extremely grateful for all the hard work and long hours they have put in. It is dangerous work.
I’m thankful our daughter joined us from South Georgia in the wee hours of Saturday morning so we were all under one roof. (You know how we moms worry.)
We were also blessed with lower than normal temperatures, so our “camping” was not unpleasant. However, I’m happy to say we were lucky and got power on late Thursday night, but many are still without. One forgets how reliant we are on power.
We ate meals out of our thawing freezers using the grill and I quickly learned how to “perk” coffee with a tea kettle and strainer! After all it’s the little things right?
The images are heart breaking that I’ve seen and don’t know where to begin or to put my thoughts into words, we’ve had family and friends in Houston and now in Florida.
Our hearts go out to those who are affected by this storm – know you are in my thoughts and prayers as you begin recovery.
Wow! can you believe all the great new products in the Holiday Catalog? I’ve got soooo many favorites! How about you?
If you haven’t seen the Holiday Catalog there is still time to RSVP for this Saturday’s Holiday Catalog Kick Off. We’ll be making 3 fun projects using Holiday Catalog stamps and you can pick up your copy! Whoo! Hoo!

As I mentioned yesterday I held my team retreat last weekend. It was 3 wonderful days of fellowship, stamping, and laughter. As usual I was a bit remiss in taking photos of us together during the event. (Note to self put a sticky note out to remind me next time. since I get side tracked easily at these events. LOL). But you are in luck because I did take photos of some of the project everyone was working on.
Our group was a bit smaller than normal but that didn’t slow us down any. Actually it was kind of nice since we were able to spread out. You know how it goes 6 feet is never enough space with all those new goodies! Here is a photo of the space set up and ready for everyone to arrive.
Deborah brought this cute little treat for everyone made with the Lemon Zest Bundle (145359/145360).
I can’t wait to make some of these up myself to surprise folks with – that is if I can find the lemon candies. (3 stores already and no luck! Sigh… maybe it is the eclipse and they’ve gone the way of moon pies!)
She also brought this cute little bag she was working on using the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (144613) and Spooky Cat Stamp Set (144749).
And do you see the yummy Basic Black Vintage Crochet Trim (144611)? I can’t wait to start working with it!
And Cindy made these wonderful little post it holders for everyone.
On to cards – Want to see some of the wonderful cards we made in our shoe box swap?
Anna’s uses a couple of the new products from the Holiday Catalog.
I just love the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder (144686), snowflakes are my thing any how, but this card was soooo quick and easy perfect for holiday cards!
And Deborah’s is a new twist on the ever popular Swirly Bird Stamp Set (141749).
And my card – of course it uses the Musical Season Bundle (146048/146049) and Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper (144623).
I love the way the french horn cuts out of the Champagne Foil Paper (144748). You may see this one turn up at my catalog launch (watch for more information coming soon.)
And how about this final card that Cindy made using the Painted Harvest stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. Soft and lovely – I knew I’d end up wanting this bundle when I saw her working with things at the retreat!
And here is a fun note card that Anna surprised me with for my promotion using the Icing on the Cake Stamp Set (143664). I was admiring it while she was stamping but had no clue it was for me – what a surprise!
I have such wonderful stamping friends and team members!
And last but not least how about this cute little thank you card made with the Bella & Friends stamp set (141867/141870)?
So what do you think? Love the new items too in my 2017 Holiday Catalog PreOrder Goodies Video from yesterday (Click HERE to see the video) and today’s projects? It’s just a peek of what’s inside the 2017 Holiday Catalog! And as I am sure you can guess, being the first to see this new catalog or any of our new catalogs is a very exciting AND a huge perk of being a Demonstrator – after all who wouldn’t want to be first? I just love this NEW Crafting Forever stamp set (143955/143958) and couldn’t resist using it for the Catalog Kick Off. The sayings are fun and the images are great for those of us who love crafting.
I found these fun colorful post it flags at the dollar spot and wanted to create a little holder for them to go along with the new catalog.
After all mine has little flags sticking out all over the place yours should too. LOL! My wish list is long and this catalog has some wonderful new products that I can’t resist!
I couldn’t decide which sentiment to use – so I chose to make some of each.
