Freezin’ Fun, Team Shoe Box & More

Every year we gather as a team in December for our Annual Team Luncheon which includes a Shoe Box Swap. For me it is one of my favorite meetings as there is lots of food, laughter, sharing, and stamping. And while things were a bit different this year we still had a great time together bringing a dish to share and a stamping too.

The classroom was set up with social distancing in mind

And everyone received a little team gift from me too

which included some items to use in the Shoe Box Swap I designed (I’ll be sharing that project with you soon) along with some Team lanyard charms and title recognition.

Yes, these are Stampin’ Up! embellishments lol. They can be used for all kinds of things!

After the luncheon we had fun stamping a wide variety of projects. It’s part of what I love about gathering, everyone has a different style and shares what they love to do. All of the projects were great and I couldn’t choose a favorite.

This first card is a Center Step card stamped with one of my favorite sets from the Mini, the Freezin’ Friends Bundle (155176)

In addition to the Freezin’ Friend Bundle this card also uses the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (153512) and Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder (153576). We colored the cute little animals using our Stampin’ Blends and added some Frost White Shimmer Paint (147046) to the trees.

This next card uses the Back on Your Feet stamp set (149385) and is a fun fold.

Also colored with our Stampin’ Blends it uses each of the images to create 3 panels for a great get well card.

How cute is that? And the final card was another get well using the Healing Hugs stamp set (148223) and the Boho Indigo Designer Series Paper that is part of the Boho Indigo Product Medley (153132). Isn’t it great we have a refill (153925) for this kit so we can keep creating?

And now for some fun 3d Shoe Box Swaps. This first one is a cute little 2×2 box using our Friend Like You stamp set (149237).

I just love the way the Champagne Foil sheet (144748) picks up the color from the Cinnamon Cider Designer Series Paper (153070) and of course the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon (153548) adds a bit more sparkle to the project.

And how about a fun décor item? Here is an inexpensive photo frame we made using the Beautiful World stamp set (152994), Playful Alphabet Dies (152706) and our beautiful, World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper (152491).

Now all I need to do is pop in a photo. And my final project I wanted to share with you is the fun little get well mini tissue holder. Perfect to brighten someone’s day who is feeling a bit under the weather.

The bright and cheerful project uses the Painted Poppies (151599) and Timeless Tulips (151164) stamp sets along with our Stampin’ Blends and the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper (152486).

And here are 2 more fun projects, a little paper box that’s been painted and decorated with our Forever Fern Bundle (154094)

and cute little nail file holder using the Little Treats Bundle (155204) and Toil Tidings Designer Series Paper (150432)

whew… Lots of stamping going on like I said and such great projects!

Team Fun at the OnStage@Home After Party

I love sharing with my team and coming home after a Stampin’ Up! event is no different. While this year we gathered virtually we still were able to gather for an After party and share the excitement of the NEW 2021 January – June Mini Catalog.

So I created these cute little flag holders using the Quite Curvy Bundle (156228) that is currently available. I just love these little sweet birds!

I used the colors from our OnStage@Home swag so everything coordinated

and was able to put the logo on the inside of these folders with the little flag sticky notes. We are going to need lots of sticky notes!!!

I also put together some little charms using some images from the stamp sets, the catalog, and logo. Each one was a bit different

but they all had one thing in common – a prize patrol number!

Things were all set up for a light lunch and an couple of hours with the team.

Of course, no team event is without stamping, so I had packets for everyone with their little team gifts waiting for them all their stamping spot.

We also had a table to share all the Product Purchase Premiere goodies – there is nothing like being able to touch and feel in person!

And of course I shared my copy of the real Mini & Sale-a-bration Catalogs that they could look at too.

We made 4 projects using new products from the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure.

And of course while we stamped prize patrol numbers were called and prizes were given out!

Lots of smiling faces

Want to see our projects?

Not only did stamp together, we got to use the new Blending Brushes found in the Mini Catalog and learn a fun new technique too.

I’ll be sharing these projects with you later so stop back by to see my tutorials and videos for these projects and more!

So what do you think? Sound like fun? Love the new items too? It’s just a peek of what’s inside the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog! Team Time Fun

Each month we gather to stamp and share with each other and so today I thought I’d share some of the fun cards that my team members have created over the past 2 months. I can’t believe they got buried on my desk and I haven’t shared them with you before now.

These first 2 cards use the Country Home stamp set (147678) from the Annual Catalog that you can find on page 90. This first one uses the beautiful Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (153527) to choose it’s color pallet.

And both these cards have been colored with our Stampin’ Blends which gives them that great bold rich, color.

And here is fun fold card using the Beautiful Autumn Stamp set () and lovely Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (153520).

This card uses the fun impossible fold to create a card that pops up but mails flat.

And one using our Stitched Leaves Dies (153567) that has been teamed up with the colorful Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (153527) again.

I really like the way these dies have the stitched edging that can be used on negative images like this and on the positive images too.

A gratitude journal made with the lovely Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper (152488) – done in 6×6 and filled with paper to fill. A page for each person to personalize or use it as a lovely book to use yourself.

This next project uses the Grace’s Garden stamp set (151513) and is a fun fold card.

That once again folds flat for mailing.

This next grouping of projects is for Christmas and I’ll continue with some more fun folds. First this easel card that uses the Sweetest Time Bundle (155169).

And last but not least Shirley shared some little wooden pumpkins she made using the technique we used during our Peak Princess Event. You can see more and the tutorial for that project about that HERE.

And how about some Christmas projects? This first card uses the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper (153487) and teams it up with the beautiful Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper (152493)

And for a here is a fun fold teepee card using our Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (150444) with it’s beautiful images.

Champagne foil Sheets (144748) were cut out using the Forever Flourishing Dies (152714) and were used as a backdrop for the sentiment. This card also folds flat for mailing simply by undoing the well placed velcro dot.

And now for some fun 3d projects – A cute little box that holds a couple of nuggets using the Little Treats stamp set (153516).

And fun tags using a variety of the holiday stamp sets found in the Annual and Holiday catalog. Can you name them all?

There are 4 different stamp sets used for these tags. Don’t look if you are still guessing but here is the list. Detailed Doves (153406), Christmas Gleaming (150464), Merry Moose (150494), and Perfectly Plaid (149418). Hand made tags for your packages make them extra special and are a lot of fun to make!

whew… what did I tell you, lots of great projects! I’m truly blessed with such a great team to share and stamp with.

Quite Curvy Note Pad Holder & More

Whew! The week is flying by and tonight starts the Stampin’ Up! OnStage@Home event. I’m excited about this opportunity to gather with my fellow demonstrators from around the world. It’s sure to be a jam packed 3 days as always and while it is not a live event in Salt Lake as planned originally I’m just happy that I’m able to participate this way from home. Stampin’ Up! never disappoints at these events.

I didn’t want to spoil the surprise earlier this week, but by now everyone should have received their little goodies in the mail. So….. today I thought I’d share with you a fun project that I made as a gift for my team members that will be joining me for the OnStage@Home event. I just love the Quite Curvy Bundle so I started there.

I just couldn’t resist these sweet little birds and the fact that the sentiments curve along the die cut edges! So want to see what I made?

Here you go this soft and sweet note pad holders

I’m really pleased with the way they turned out and I had some sticky notes and flags that I thought went perfectly with this project too!

So what do you think? Want to learn how to make your own? While you may not have the same little flags and sticky notes I’m sure you can find some similar sized for your projects. Or how about a sticky note and mini calendar? The options are endless and I find that one of the fun things about creating a gift like this.

I’ve put together a video tutorial for you. It’s a bit longer than my normal videos, but it shows you the how to from start to finish. And as always I’ve given you a printable PDF with a complete supply list and step by step instructions.

I’ve also got this great tip for cutting out your stamped images with our dies. Do you ever miss cut? I really hate that and this quick little tip REALLY helps!

So what do you think? Helpful? Why not give it a try and then leave a comment to let me know if you like doing it this way. Either way I hope this little tip helps you with your crafting too!

And now without further delay here is that printable PDF I told you about with the complete supply list.

Beautiful Autumn Tiny Treat Box & More Team fun!

Yesterday I shared the Home Decor project that we made at the Peak Princess event this past weekend, today I thought I’d share the little treat item that I made.

They are filled with these fun fall Hershey’s Kisses that I found locally.

I just love the colors of the candy – yes, I do shop for candy that way. (My daughter thinks this is a pretty crazy way to shop for chocolate, but she is always on the hunt for me too!)

These treats were quick and easy to make for everyone. I have whipped up a quick video so you can make some to if you’d like.

And of course it’s always fun to have a PDF that contains a complete supply list for projects. So here it is.

Beautiful Autumn Tiny Treat Box Tutorial PDF

I also mentioned I’d share some more photos so here are a couple from the classroom.

This last picture is of the Sweet Potato Crostini I made for the event. The marshmallows spent a bit too much time under the broiler I’m afraid. Don’t you hate that? But they were still quite tasty.

They were a big hit with my guys so I thought you might enjoy the recipe – they are light, tasty and easy to do.

Sweet Potato Crostini

2 T. sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

24 slices 1/4″ thick French bread baguette

2 to 3 T butter, melted

Topping:

2 c. mashed sweet potatoes

1/4 c. chopped pecans

3 T. packed brown sugar

2 T. butter, melted

1 1/4 c. miniature marshmallows, halved

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Arrange bread sliced ona baking sheet. Brush with butter; sprinkle with sugar mixture. Bake until lightly browned, 5-7 minutes. Remove from oven; preheat broiler.

Mix sweet potatoes, pecans, brown sugar, and butter; spread over toasts. Top with marshmallows, pressing lightly. Broil 3-4 inches from heat until marshmallows are lightly toasted, 1-2 minutes.

So easy and tasty too!

Enjoy!

Team Fun & the Gilded Autumn Pumpkin Home Décor Project

This past weekend I gathered with my Team, The Blue Mountain Stampers for a special biannual event. This event allows us to gather and celebrate everyone’s accomplishments over the last 6 months. We have a special project, along with prizes, and appetizers. So today I thought I’d share our project that we made.

This project was a lot of fun to make and everyone’s turned out differently since they could decide on which patterns they wanted to use. Here is mine.

I really love the colors and patterns of the Gilded Autumn Suite of Products and so I couldn’t resist making a home décor item with them. I also really love the way the little swirls of copper ribbon finish off this project. They are so easy to make – I bet you are wondering how I made them too!

You’ll need a wooden skewer or dowel along with your heat tool and Heavy Spray Starch. Yep, that’s it! You’ll also need a bit of patience as you make them since it does require some dry time tho. I’m not sure how they would hold up outside, but since I’m planning on using this project inside my home I wasn’t worried about our heavy Georgia humidity of late.

Want to see how we made them? Here is a video for you.

I’ve also included a link for the pumpkins and PDF pattern on this Tutorial for you.

Want to make some of these too? Here is the information on the wooded pumpkins for you that I found on Amazon along with a PDF pattern for this pumpkin.

I really love these gatherings we have a lot of fun together and it’s a great time to share what’s been happening in our lives, and relax too. Here are a couple of pictures for you of some of the finished projects.

Saying goodbye to Painted Harvest

Today I’m sharing a tutorial for a card made with one of my favorite stamps that is retiring. The Painted Harvest set is photopolymer so it’s easy to line up and the 2-step images in this set are very forgiving since you don’t have to line them up perfectly either.

Pick a color pallet that includes a few colors like this project does or use just one color to create shades and depth – either way you’ll love the look since this stamp set does all the work for you with it’s built in shading and watercolor feel.

While I used more of a this project has more of a “autumn” feel to it change up the Cajun Craze for Daffodil Delight and you’ll have a “summer” feel to your project. Don’t you love how simply changing color gives you a whole new look?

If you’d like to make this card I’ve got a tutorial with the complete supply list and measurements for you.

Painted Harvest Card Tutorial PDF

And why not check it out now before it’s gone? Did you know that all our retiring items on the Last Chance List are now while supplies last, so don’t delay and miss out on your favorite items.

Here are some more fun projects I’ve created using the Painted Harvest stamp set. This first one uses the same color pallet, but this time with more Pumpkin Pie.

And this next one uses Blackberry Bliss – love this rich color!

And finally a 3d project. This little post it note holder uses shades of Crushed Curry for the sunflower.

Enjoy!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Painted Harvest (Retiring 144783) and Seaside Notions (149278)

Timeless Tropical Treat Tutorial

Today’s project is one that I whipped up as a special treat for those that had signed up originally for my live Class last weekend – while the live class didn’t happen as schedule those folks will still get this little sweet little surprise with their kits.

These treats hold 3 Ghirardelli Chocolates and I just happened to be in luck and have enough hidden from my husband in my class room. The caramel and crunchy caramel pecan wrappers were the perfect color combo for this project as they picked up the colors from the fruit in the Tropical Oasis Designer Series paper.

Want to see how I made these quick little treats? How about a 3 minute video?

Spotlighting the Blue Mountain Stampers

Last week we had our monthly Team Meeting and so today I wanted to share with you some of the projects that were brought by everyone to share. It’s always fun to see what everyone has been up to since we last stamped together.

This first card is a fun fold, pocket card and it is done in our bright Flirty Flamingo and always a favorite Blackberry Bliss.

Shirley used the Peaceful Moments Stamp set (151595) and Poppy Moments Dies (151594) for this lovely pocket card. This fold is very easy but always packs a wow.

Spring is coming and this next card makes me think spring since it uses the Sending You Thoughts stamp set (152297 Sale-a-bration) and the Coordination product, Sending Flowers Dies (153589). Wanda also chose to make her cards with a variety of colors, this time our 2018-2020 In Colors. I just love the difference color makes.

Did you know that March is a great time to fill in your 2018-2020 In Color Collections? Not only will you get to earn Sale-a-bration products when you order during March but you’ll also beat the Retirement List rush. So why not check your collection and make sure you have all your favorites? Ink Pads, Card stock, ribbon, etc. – You’ll want to make sure to get the reinkers too if you don’t already have them since they are the first to fly out the door!

Here is the adorable Little Ladybug stamp set (152384 Sale-a-bration Host set) and coordinating Dies (153588).

Sue made this little Magnet Slider Card to share – so cute.

And this card is perfect for spring (and our neck of the woods, since we’ve already racked up 1/2 a year of rain already!)

The Under My Umbrella Stamp Set (151518) and Umbrella Builder Punch (151293) were used to create this lovely Double Z Fold card.

And if you love the NEW 2nd Release Sale-a-bration items, you’re going to love this soft lovely card done with our Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends.

How can you not love this Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (152312 Sale-a-bration)? It’s gorgeous! and the So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (152313 Sale-a-bration) is just that. It just shimmers with it’s pearly finish.

And last but not least some 3d projects. This first one is a treat that Pat made special for the up coming St. Patty’s Day. Pat cleverly used the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (149488) to create this card in shades of green.

And Wanda made this little treat bag using our Acetate Card Boxes (144628) that she cut in 1/2.

It uses the Beautiful Moments stamp set for it’s sentiment, along with the very popular Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper (153558) – love the soft spring colors that this paper contains AND the fact it coordinates with our punches too.

Whew! There was lots of sharing going on this month! If you’d like to join a great group who love to share the Blue Mountain Stampers might just be a great choice for you.
